There are Certificates available is several specialist areas.

1. Ocean Awareness
2. Equipment
3. Snorkelling
4. Paddle Craft
5. Communication

These are not taught during a standard training night, but we try to provide training for these on special training night. This might only happen once a year.
 

Each section has either 2 or 3 sub sections to get signed off to complete the award.

Most of these awards require specialist equipment, as a club we currently don't hold all these items but can borrow them from various places. We would like to obtain the equipment, but we need to do some more fund raising to achieve this, or from donations of equipment.

It would also be useful for students to obtain there own equipment for some of these sessions, such as Mask, Fins and Snorkel, for the Snorkelling award. We can recommend several places to obtain them
